General questions

It depends on the type of dumpster you are ordering and the size. Generally speaking, no more than a 15 percent incline is recommended.

About 23 feet of overhead clearance is needed. About a 60 foot approach and appropriate turn-radius for large 35 foot trucks will also be required. Call us with questions and we can lookup your location using mapping software. More information can be found on our dumpsters 101 page.

It is not necessary to be on-site for delivery or removal. However, a point-of-contact and cell phone will need to be provided. In addition, very clear instructions will need to be given for the driver (For example: North East side of the building, near the loading dock, at the back of-parking lot).

Most deliveries are done on weekdays during common business hours. You can request a special time and we will do our best to comply. The farther in advance you rent your dumpster, the better chance it will be delivered on your schedule time.

In most instances a permit is not required on private property. However if you plan to put the container in the street or on public land, then a permit may be needed. Please contact your city with questions pertaining to this.

In many states, the legal road limit for a temporary dumpster is about 20,000 lbs (or 10 tons). Loads like rock, concrete, asphalt, and dirt are generally very heavy and so a smaller container will be necessary. For permanent dumpsters, 150lbs per cubic yard is usually allowable without any extra-weight charges.

Concrete driveways can crack under the stress of a heavy dumpster and asphalt driveways can be particularly vulnerable – especially in hot weather. If this is something you are worried about, there are ways to reduce or virtually eliminate the risk of damage. For starters, we can deliver a smaller container with a light-duty truck. You can also lay 4’x’8’ sheets of plywood or 2”x 4” posts to redistribute the weight. Please talk with our representatives about other options.

Common household and construction debris. No liquid or hazardous waste. If you are disposing of tile, concrete or bricks then you may need a special container.

Your cost is influenced by a number of factors which include the weight of the material, the size of the container, the length of the rental period and local taxes and fees. Our goal is to offer an easy to understand flat-rate price with no surprises.

Delivery charge is a one-time fee. Then, you are charged every time you have the container hauled. Usually the haul includes 2-5 tons (4000 to 10,000 pounds)… once you exceed the allotted amount for your container then you will be charged for each additional ton. Landfill disposal costs vary by region.

The more notice, the better. Usually we can have a container delivered within 48 hours, depending on supply and demand.

Generally, you cannot put your container on a public street. Some rural areas may allow this. Urban areas (such as high-rise construction) will use public streets but they are gated off.

Pricing

On average our prices are 15-20% lower than competitors. We generally do not advertise our pricing online in fairness to our sub-contractors.

We collect payment up-front for all temporary dumpsters. Established re-occurring customers can request 30 day payment terms. Permanent dumpsters that are put on schedule are setup for monthly invoices which are mailed at the beginning of the month.

All major credit cards. ACH payment is also available.
