Sundance Disposal Recycling Guidelines

Accepted Items:

We encourage responsible recycling by accepting the following clean and dry items. Please rinse out containers before recycling:

  • Paper: Office paper, magazines, and newspapers.
  • Cardboard: Flattened boxes and packaging.
  • Plastic Bottles / Tubs / Jugs: Must be rinsed and free of food residue.
  • Metal Food & Beverage Cans: Aluminum and steel cans.
  • Glass Beverage Bottles: Only in small quantities. No decorative or sheet glass.

Not Accepted Items:

To keep the recycling process efficient and contamination-free, please do not place the following items in the recycling bin:

  • Shredded Paper: Difficult to process and sort.
  • Glass (Other than Small Quantities of Beverage Bottles): Includes decorative glass, sheet glass, mirrors, and more.
  • Items with Food, Grease, or Fluid: Contaminated items cannot be recycled.
  • Toys: Not made from recyclable materials.
  • Plastic Bags, Wraps, or Films: These materials can jam recycling machinery.
  • Batteries & Electronics: Hazardous for recycling facilities.
  • Clothing: Textiles are not accepted in curbside recycling.
  • Lawn Clippings: Yard waste belongs in compost, not recycling.
  • Diapers: Non-recyclable due to contamination.
  • Decorative Glass or Sheet Glass: Not suitable for recycling.

When in Doubt, Throw It Out!

If you're unsure whether an item is recyclable, it's better to toss it in the trash. Contaminated or incorrect items can disrupt the recycling process and lead to higher waste management costs.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community clean and sustainable!
